Sofokus Gears Up for Growth: Erkki Kallio Appointed New CEO, Teemu Malinen Moves to Chairman of the Board

Digital business consultancy Sofokus is entering its next phase of growth by streamlining its leadership structure. Sofokus’s long-standing Chief Operating Officer (COO) Erkki Kallio has been appointed as the company’s CEO, effective 16 March 2026.
Kallio has worked at Sofokus for over ten years, most recently leading the company’s service business. In his new role, he will focus on accelerating organic growth.
Company founder Teemu Malinen will take on the role of Chairman of the Board, where he will oversee the company’s strategic direction, financing, and inorganic growth.
“Erkki is no newcomer – he has been running Sofokus’s day-to-day operations and client work for a long time, and has earned the trust of all of us. This change formalises what has already been happening in practice,” says Teemu Malinen.
Erkki Kallio’s focus in his new role is clear: organic growth and further expanding an already strong client base. Sofokus has a proven track record in customer satisfaction – independent research firm Onway measured the company’s Net Promoter Score at 88, an exceptionally high figure in the industry.
“We already have a large number of satisfied clients and world-class experts who make this possible. That’s a great foundation to build on. I’m not going to reinvent the wheel, but we have both the ambition and the capabilities to grow,” comments Erkki Kallio.
Despite the general market situation, Sofokus has been making steady progress recently. Both existing and new clients have enabled us to take on several new staff members over the last six months – and this trend is set to continue.
“I’m excited to take the helm and steer Sofokus into its next growth phase. We have Finland’s most satisfied clients, world-class expertise, and a clear growth plan. Our goal is to prove that a small, agile company can deliver solutions that typically require much larger organisations,” Erkki Kallio concludes.
