The Eduro Foundation supports employment and promotes well-being by offering comprehensive rehabilitation and guidance services. However, effective management of operations and customer journey tracking requires modern, flexible digital tools. For this reason, Eduro decided to modernise its Arvi system, which monitors and manages service delivery and customer progress.
Over the years, the old Arvi system had been developed whenever new needs arose, and as a result, it had gradually become complex, slowing down both development and use. Eduro recognised the need to update the system to meet today’s requirements: user-friendliness, accessibility, mobile optimisation, efficiency, and automation became key objectives.
The successful development of the new Arvi system required precise specification. Sofokus helped Eduro identify the system’s key objectives, use cases, and functional and non-functional requirements. The specification work was carried out in close collaboration with Eduro’s experts, ensuring that all needs and wishes were taken into account. The result was a comprehensive requirements specification, which enabled Eduro to tender and implement the new system efficiently and systematically.
Sofokus had a skilled and versatile team working on the project, including a service designer, UI/UX designer, and technical architect. They ensured that the system design supported both the user experience and technical requirements in the best possible way.
At Sofokus, we believe it’s important to combine business expertise, user interface design, and software architecture when designing digital services. The goal isn’t just a technically functional solution, but a service that is user-friendly, genuinely useful, and effectively supports the organisation’s operations. A successful design project requires a thorough understanding of the service’s users – what problems they want to solve, what their needs and habits are, and what brings them back to the service again and again.
Throughout the project, Eduro faced several challenges with the old system, like slow development, an inflexible user interface, and poor user experience. When designing the new system, particular attention was paid to these challenges, and the specification aimed to provide concrete solutions:
The Eduro Foundation found its collaboration with Sofokus to be smooth and productive. Communication during the project was close and transparent, and the set goals were achieved on schedule. The client said they particularly appreciated Sofokus’s expertise, flexibility, and efficient project management.
The requirements specification work provided Eduro with a solid foundation for modernising the Arvi system. The next step was to conduct a competitive tendering process and technically implement the new system, with the document serving as a guideline and ensuring that the end result meets the organisation’s needs.
